The viewer is taken on a journey through history with demonstrations of the classical disciplines and displays of the modern martial arts. Rare archive footage has been included, and the video features some of Japan's greatest masters: Kishomaru Ueshiba, son of the founder of Aikido; Shimizu dai sensei, last grand master of Shindo Muso Ryu Jojutsu (4 foot staff); Otake sensei, head teacher of Katori Shinto Ryu.
